Featured Associate: Pacific University

The Pacific University School of Physician Assistant Studies was founded in 1996 and confers a master’s degree upon successful completion of a 27-month program, which includes 54 weeks of clinical experience and a clinical graduate project.  The school offers a Rural Health Care Track which awards graduates with a certificate of completion; thus making them eligible to apply for rural and underserved areas loan forgiveness opportunities.

Pacific University emphasizes community based medicine while educating students to become empathetic, evidence based clinicians. Faculty and students focus on small group/case based learning within a systems based curriculum. A state of the art, high fidelity interactive Simulation Lab and Anatomy/Cadaver Lab enhance the curriculum and provide students with hands on learning experiences. Clinical rotations are located throughout the Pacific Northwest, nationally and internationally, allowing students to immerse themselves in diverse clinical settings.
