The Gardner-Webb University Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program is located in beautiful Boiling Springs, NC.  Nestled in the foothills of Western North Carolina, Cleveland County is a rural, medically-underserved community. We strive to develop knowledgeable and caring Physician Assistants who practice competent, patient-centered primary care in diverse environments with an emphasis on primary care of underserved populations.

In our brief existence, we have established a legacy of academic excellence, strong faculty educators, and exceptional PA graduates who are members of healthcare teams nationwide. Our program is a part of the growing College of Health Sciences at Gardner-Webb University where we have our state-of-the-art facilities including a simulation suite among other technologically advanced educational opportunities. Our diverse faculty collectively bring years of medical practice in a variety of fields such as general and cardio-thoracic surgery, dermatology and aesthetics, women’s health, pediatrics, urology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, and family practice.

Our program offers a small class size of 36 students with a motivated faculty and staff to invest in and guide students through their educational experiences. Accessibility of faculty is unparalleled and our focus on partnering with the community to deliver excellent, patient-centered care sets our program apart. We are focused on delivery of healthcare to the underserved, and we are proud to provide multiple and diverse opportunities for our students to experience healthcare delivery within this population.
