The Physician Assistant Studies program at Touro University Nevada is the first PA program offered in the state. Touro’s PA program, which emphasizes primary care and community health, has graduated more than 550 PA’s since its first graduating class in 2007. The university has helped to address the PA shortage in Nevada, as more than 200 Touro PA graduates are licensed to practice in the Silver State.

The PA program embraces the importance of addressing the needs of the community and has done so in myriad of ways. Under the supervision of Touro faculty members, PA students have the opportunity to work on the first mobile clinic to provide basic health care to Southern Nevada’s homeless populations. The PA program also offers national and international rotations where students are able to assimilate themselves in diverse populations. This helps prepare them to become clinical experts in any environment.
