Have a Meaningful Memorial Day
The PA History Society hopes that everyone has a thoughtful, meaningful, and safe Memorial Day weekend.
If you would like to honor the service of a PA who has served in any branch of the uniformed services, the PA Veterans Garden still has limited space for engraved brick pavers. The pavers have the logo of the branch of service, the name of the one honored, years of service, and rank.
To order your tax deductible brick paver(s) please click here and you will be directed to our PAHx Veterans Garden Paver site at Bricks R Us. The information you will need for the brick is: The name the brick is for, Rank, and years of service. For a list of those who already have pavers, please click here.
If you choose to order a certificate along with your brick purchase, the certificate will appear similar to the photo below.
Bricks R Us cannot customize their certificates at this time to reflect how the physical brick will appear. Finished, inscribed bricks will appear as shown in the photograph at the top of the webpage.
*Certificates take four to six weeks to be delivered from Bricks R Us to the PA History Society office and then they are send out. The engraved bricks take two to three months to be installed at the garden.
If you would like to “adopt” a PA veteran or active service member to buy a brick for them, please view the list we’ve compiled of individuals that are veterans of or are actively serving in the uniformed services: please click here. An * by an individual’s name means that they are deceased and ** means that the individual already has a brick. If you know of a military PA that is missing from the list or want your own name added, please let us know. *You do not have to have your name on the list to buy a brick paver. You only have to be a PA that has served or is serving in the uniformed services!*
