PAHx Society Turns 17!

The PA History Society will be turning sweet 17 on January 17th!

The Society has enjoyed 17 years of fun, educational products and projects that preserve and share the history of the PA profession.

Our 17th year is going to be action packed:

Speaking engagements are already scheduled to present the history of the profession at PA programs and workshops.

The Society’s second two-day PA Historian Boot Camp will be held this September. If you missed out on last year’s workshop, here’s your chance!

An abbreviated PA Historian Boot Camp, held in various locations, is in development to make it more accessible to PAs.

Work continues in developing an exciting new PA history book to be published in 2020.

We aim to sell the last brick pavers for our PA Veterans Garden! Space is limited so order your paver today.

This year the PAHx Society is welcoming two additions to our Board:

Trustee: Robert S. Smith, PA-C, MS, DHSc, DFAAPA

Student Trustee: Sunayana Chopra Pydah, PA-S, MBA, MHA

The Trustees are looking forward to working with Robert and Sunny as they share their contributions to help the Society fulfill its Mission and Vision.

If you would like to hear the full story of how the PAHx Society was formed, you may download for free our 15th anniversary manuscript: Physician Assistant History Society, Celebrating 15 Years: 2002-2017.

You may also listen to an interview with the Society’s co-founders J. Jeffrey Heinrich and Reginald D. Carter where they discuss the founding of the Society.

The PA History Society is looking forward to serving the PA community by preserving and sharing the history of this dynamic profession for many, many more years to come!

Make sure to drop us a “Happy Birthday” on the 17th either on our Facebook page or on our Twitter page.
