LTC Larry Wyatt

LTC Larry Wyatt serves as the Medical Director, Joint Task Force, National Capital Region, Military District of Washington. He entered active duty as a Marine in 1987. After four years in the USMC (United States Marine Corps), he had a short break in service and then completed the Army Special Forces Qualification Course(18D) and was assigned to 7th Special Forces Group.

Upon graduation from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) in 2002 LTC Wyatt served as the Infantry PA for 1/36 IN, 1st BDE (brigade), 1st AD (armored division). From 2005 to 2012, LTC Wyatt was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, (Airborne). In 2012, LTC Wyatt was selected to attend Command General Staff College (CGSC) in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Upon completion, he was selected as the 101st Airborne Division PA where he served the first year as the acting Division Surgeon.  In 2015, he was selected to be the Chief of Soldier Health Services for Fort Campbell and in 2016, nominated as the United States Special Operations Command PA.

LTC Wyatt’s military education includes the 18D (Special Forces Qualification Course), Combat Diver (CDQC), Dive Medical Technician (DMT), Target Interdiction I and II (SOTIC, Special Operations Target Interdiction Course), Rappelmaster, IPAP, Army Aviation

Medicine, Dive Medical Officer, Captains Career Course (CCC), and Command General Staff College (CGSC).

LTC Wyatt’s awards and decorations include the Soldiers Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Service Meritorious Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, USMC Combat Action Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Award, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, Navy Unit Citation, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal  Iraqi Campaign Medal (six), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Special Forces Tab, Flight Surgeon Badge, Combat Medical Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Combat Diver Badge, and Dive Medical Officer Badge.
