LTC John T. Elliott, PA-C

LTC John T. Elliott serves as the Chief, Medical Training for the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) at Fort Bragg, NC. He entered active duty as a Private in 1985. After successful completion of Basic Training, he moved on to Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

From 1985 to 1992 he served as a Combat Medic in a variety of overseas and stateside assignments. LTC Elliott completed the Special Forces Qualification Course and from 1995 to 1999 served as a Special Forces Medic for the 3rd Special Forces Group.

Upon graduation from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) in 2001 LTC Elliott served as the Battalion PA for 2nd Bn. 504th Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division, the 782nd Main Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, and the Senior PA for STB, 1st Brigade Combat Team , 82nd Airborne Division.

From 2008 to 2010 he served as the GSB PA for 3rd Special Forces Group. In 2010 he assumed the role of Squadron Physician Assistant, Special Forces Operational Detachment – Delta.

In 2013 LTC Elliott moved and served  as the Deputy Surgeon, Clinical Operations and Senior Physician Assistant for the 82nd Airborne

Division before moving back to USASOC as the Chief of Medical Training in 2017.

LTC Elliott’s military education includes Special Forces Qualification Course as a  Special Forces Medical Sergeant (18D), Jumpmaster School, IPAP, Army Aviation Medicine Course, Captains Career Course (CCC), and Intermediate Level Education (ILE) for AMEDD Officers.

LTC Elliott’s awards and Decorations include the Expert Field Medical Badge, Combat Medic Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Special Forces Tab, Bronze Star Medal (4), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2), Meritorious Service Medal (2), Army Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal (2), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, and Army Superior Unit Award.

John has proudly served in multiple overseas assignments to include; Operation Enduring Freedom – Afghanistan,      Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Uphold Democracy – Haiti, as well as Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Mozambique, Africa.

He is happily married to his lovely wife and they have seven children they cherish greatly.
