October is an eventful month for the PA History Society! First we get to celebrate PA Week and recognize the amazing history of the profession and the history PAs are still making today! Then the rest of the month is Archives Month!
Every Friday for the month of October, the PA History Society will highlight a fun, historical object from our museum collections on our social media sites.
October 14th is designated Ask an Archivist Day, where archivists at memory respositories across the country are on standby to answer your questions about their work. For the PA History Society though, every day is Ask an Archivist Day! If you have any questions about PA history you’ve always wondered about, questions about the History Society, or about archiving in general, please feel free to email our Sr. Archivist! No question is too small or obscure (but some may take more time digging to find the answer!)
To help celebrate Archives Month the PA History Society way, we made two posters you can print out and display at your PA program, office or library! Feel free to download them and share the love of PA history and the PA History Society with your friends, family and collegues!
