The Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science Physician Assistant Practice Program (MS), as part of more than 30 graduate health profession and science programs offered at the University, is a full-time 24-month program that enrolled its first class in 1991.

The program boasts a network of more than 1500 successful alumni, many of which give back as clinical preceptors and serve as state and national leaders in PA education and within the profession. The program’s long track record of successful alumni strengthens its mission to   educate and prepare competent, compassionate, and ethical physician assistant leaders who, as integral members of the interprofessional healthcare team, will provide quality patient-centered care to a diverse population.

The innovative curricular elements are designed within the didactic and clinical phases, to allow students to revisit concepts and skills with increasing levels of critical thinking and to synthesize and apply the curricular content to the clinical encounter. The spiral learning design is augmented through an experienced faculty and staff, state of the art facilities and simulation programs, interprofessionally based courses and clinical sites, community service-minded student organizations, and early experiential learning opportunities.

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status with the next validation review scheduled in 2023.
